The residential community at UWS Residential Colleges is an integral part of the University of Western
Sydney. Residents are part of a college community where their input is eagerly sought. Their
suggestions and concerns are enthusiastically welcomed and given top priority. Residential students
form lasting bonds of friendship that carry on long after graduation. Here are a few of the benefits
residents enjoy whilst living and learning within UWS Residential Colleges:
ACHIEVE ACADEMIC SUCCESS
Studies have shown that students residing in University Residential Colleges have consistently
achieved higher grades than their non-resident counterparts. You are surrounded by others with high
academic and career aspirations, creating a very attractive and conducive living and learning
environment for academic pursuits.
SAVE MONEY
Living on campus, you are likely to pay less and receive more services and avoid the annoyance of
paying numerous deposits and continuing accounts to electric, gas, water, heating, and phone
companies. You also avoid having to purchase furniture, large and small appliances and cleaning
equipment and chemicals and the need to continually pay travel costs.

the wonderful and exciting opportunity of making friends who you can perhaps visit for holidays either
during or after university.
