Living on rez is not all about study. It's about becoming an independent person while studying. The atmosphere here allows all of us to study at our own pace, whilst being responsible to ourselves for our future academic and professional lives. I have enjoyed the experience enormously, making friends, living independently but in the shared accommodation units. I've enjoyed the culture the overseas students bring and learning about the world from their eyes. I am sure I've taught them a thing or two about Australia. With units that provide all the basics, with the opportunity to make you room your own space, I've felt happy, safe and comfortable. I have so many happy and riotous memories of my years at Kiemah. These have been special years. With any class only minutes away, there was no excuse. The manager lives on campus and that in itself adds to the safety of all residents. The parties have been mad and the memories indelible. The common room is a great meeting place and area for relaxation or a game of pool or just to watch cable telly with mates and maybe a party or eight. My University years have been well spent here on Bankstown campus. To have applied and been successfully accepted to the position of Resident Assistant has added to my maturing and enabled me to extend myself in a position of responsibility. All in all, a great time.

Do you want to save your money from the expensive and exhausting everyday travel to the campus? Would you like to make friends with different cultural backgrounds and improve your English? Do you like to party? If the answer is "yes" then the on campus residence is the best choice. For me, studying overseas is not just about studying. It is a life to experience. UWS Bankstown residence is such a nice, dynamic and multi-cultural place to live. The unit is cosy and well equipped, and the price is reasonable. During my stay, I met lots of nice people and made heaps of friends,. I studied, I played I gamed I partied I travelled and I even joined the management ream and became a Resident Assistant. It was a year full of excitement and challenges. Living in the residence has just made my overseas study a fantastic experience.

I am very happy that I have had opportunity to live at the Penrith residence. This campus is very beautiful and roommates are very kind. I am appreciative for Campus Managers and RA (Resident Assistants) help. I want to give my best wishes to the people in the campus.

The best part of living on campus is meeting all different students from all types of backgrounds. Learning about their culture and share values.

With environs lush and lavish as well as heritage, it was a great experience to have resided and studied at the Hawkesbury Residential College, Richmond Campus (UWS). Here, one may find all types of people for backgrounds and ethnicities beyond – a multicultural and diverse setting – for all to experience, learn from and appreciate. I was personally privileged to have become a Resident Assistant on campus which further allowed me to interact, integrate and interconnect with several international and local students thus giving me holistic experience, not to mention a few shenanigans without which a campus would not be a campus. One must definitely experience campus life especially at the Hawkesbury Residential College, Richmond (UWS) – and here, I shall quote from a close friend – it is a ‘home away from home’.
